Born and raised in Hutchinson, Rachel briefly left to pursue her studies, earning Bachelor of Business Administration (2011) and Master of Business Administration (2013) degrees from Wichita State University, Juris Doctor (2017) from the University of Kansas School of Law, and Executive Taxation LL.M (2018) from Georgetown University Law Center. Upon graduating from Georgetown, Rachel began her career practicing tax law in Wichita while commuting from Hutchinson. Rachel has since joined Martindell Swearer Shaffer Ridenour LLP in 2020 and is very excited to be practicing law at a firm with such deep roots in her hometown. In her spare time, Rachel can typically be found curled up with her very spoiled “fur baby,” Charlotte, reading a good book or binging the latest show on Netflix. She joined YP as a way to stay involved and enact change in the community she holds dear.
